I have my phone set so that it won't ring between 11 PM and 8 AM, except for Farites that I've set up. The phone will still ring if a Favorite calls, but the text tone won't. I've looked through settings and can't find anything that concerns this. How do I set my phone so that I can get text tones during Do Not Disturb times from any favorite?

You have to enable Emergency Bypass

Launch Contacts from your Home screen.
Tap on the contact you want on Emergency Bypass.
Scroll down.
Tap Edit.
Tap Text Tone
Tap the Emergency Bypass switch. The switch should be green when it's enabled.
Tap Done
Tap Done again.

Only calls can bypass DND. No other notifications, including text messages, can bypass it.
The only way to achieve what you want is to go into each contact you want to allow text messages for and turn on "Emergency Bypass" in the text tone settings for that contact.
Note that this will result in allowing text tones to sound for that contact even if you have set the ring/vibrate switch to vibrate only.
