Transferring ITunes library to new computer - NOT WORKING

I have followed all the recommended steps to transfer ITunes music library to new Windows 10 PC. It is not working. ITunes is not attached to the music files. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand that you need some assistance to transfer your iTunes library from one PC to another. I’m happy to help out. 


To start, please work through the steps shown, here: Back up and restore your iTunes library on your PC - Apple Support.


If you are still unable to move your library, consider answering the following questions.


  • What happens when you try to transfer your library?
  • Do you receive a specific error message? If so, what is the error?
  • Does your library consistent of only iTunes downloads or other media as well?
