Screen does not respond to touch

I have an iphone 7; the screen stopped responding suddenly. The device has not been dropped but the screen appears to have faint vertical lines. I've restarted the device several times. Cannot get past the passcode screen for obvious reasons.

IPAD 7 screen un repsonsive even after a restart My son's IPAD screen does not respond to any touch. I have restarted the device by pressing the home and power buttons but when it comes to inputting the passcode, the screen remains unresponsive. All options that I can find are to press and hold the home and power buttons but there is nothing to actually fix the screen remaining unresponsive.
