Purchased songs won't sync to iPod

I had some songs on my playlist that were first saved from Apple Music. I then purchased them. After purchasing them, they still won't sync to my iPod.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! I see you're having an issue syncing a purchased song, and I'd like to help out.


Since the song was originally downloaded from Apple Music, it seems that iTunes still reads that song as from Apple Music. Delete it from the playlist, and from your iTunes Library. Then redownload from your purchased music, following the steps here:

Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books


Then add it back to your playlist. That should take care of removing the Apple Music identifier within the song's metadata.
