How to delete or change annoying Ctrl+Y

Mac ****** me off, it redirects my pages and loses my texts every time I press ctrl y which should be (redo) but instead brings me to my bookmarks and deletes everything I have written down on that page. Get rid of this, or tell me how, I've lost multiple meaningful texts and messages to the point where I've created a thread for it, because there isn't even any instructions on how to dissable such a pointless and destructive control that serves nothing. If I wanna check my bookmarks I'll go in my bookmark tab. I don't need to be losing important messages. Fix it

Sorry — I never have used your universal Ctrl + Y

Control-Y is a common computer command. It is generated by holding Ctrl and pressing the Y key on most Computer Keyboards. In most Windows applications this keyboard shortcut functions as Redo, reversing a previous Undo.

You can always go back to a Windows machine.

Yes, how do I change or get rid of it? I'm annoyed with it and don't want it to be, how do I change Redo to Ctrl+Y because its preset function to redirect my page is useless and I'm certainly not using 3 fingers to press Ctrl+Shift+Z to 'Redo' over the universal Ctrl+Y which is a function I use much most frequently after Undo (Ctrl+Z) on any other type of software and or computer, except for Mac for some pointless reason I have yet to understand behind their poor assimilation of keys and shortcuts and the simplicity in the ability to change them or turn them off, if that's even possible... You can tell they're trying to innovate but honestly they're just being inconvenient
