Can't update watchOS to 6.1.1 from 6.1 on new Apple Watch 5

Got a new Apple watch 5 last week. Went to update it to 6.1.1 (its currently on 6.1), from my Iphone 11 Pro on 13.3... So on that phone, i go into Watch>General>Software Update and hit Download and Install, it asks for phone code, then after putting that in, within a few seconds i get the below error (no matter which option I pick it goes back to the same download and install screen):

When I go into settings on the Watch itself and hit Software Update, it immediately opens the above error window on my Iphone, and keeps reopening it over and over on the phone, and it will keep doing that until i lock the phone screen and exit out of software update on the watch. I tried hard rebooting both devices, nothing. I tried (from another thread on here) finding/removing a software update file in the Watch>general>usage> tab but didnt see one.. Any additional troubleshooting ideas? I just set the thing up a few days ago, i dont want to have to wipe it and do it again.

If you have tried the steps in the support document, then contact Apple Support. With a new Watch, you get 90 days of complimentary telephone support, unless you purchased AppleCare+ at which time you get 2-years of telephone support.

You're welcome. You are going to have to let them know it didn't work. Do you have an Apple Store nearby? If so, make a Genius Bar appointment and bring it in.

Yeah, read that whole thing previously, didnt find anything that gave me any tips, I think im beyond the basic troubleshooting after spending an hour fighting this thing with diff methods.

Also of note, I tried to take advantage of OS6 and have it update itself over wifi with no phone involved by turning the phone off and doing it directly on the watch, but the watch after hitting Download and Install just jumps to the top of that Software Update page as if nothing had been pressed.

Yeah the code from the phone/watch are the same. Watch is on charging stand and at 100%.

Yeah, I spoke to them on the phone. They said to unpair it and re-pair it back to the phone and try again. I did that, and it gave same exact error.

Is the Watch code the same as the iPhone code? It should ask for the Watch code when you are trying to update watchOS. Make sure the Watch is charged to at least 50% and connected to the charger, then try again.
