GPU Not Found - Kernal Panic on 2019 Mac Pro

Hi,

This is my second Mac Pro(2019). I'm trying to return the first one but Apple has yet to find a way to pick that beast up. (I live in South Korea. They don't know how to pick it up YET. I'm dumbfounded.)

Anyway...

I got my second Mac Pro(2019) with Radeon Pro Vega II Duo GPU MPX Module.

It's been running smoothly for about 3 straight days. When I tried to wake it up this morning, it crashed with 'GPU is not found. PCI config access fails!' kernel panic error message.

Find attached the crash report. (edited for length)

It boots up and runs okay for now.

I sincerely hope it was just a one-timer.

I hate to think I'll have to return this monster again.

Should I be worried?

Would Pool Re-Allocation make any difference?

Pool B was 125% before rearranging ports. Not it says 75%.

Delete this file & restart...

/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.promise.diskmonitor.plist

If that doesn't help try it without the USB C hub in the works.

Thanks.

I deleted the file and removed all peripherals for a complete test.

I put the machine to sleep. Now it's a waiting game. I'll report the result after 3 hours.

I suspect either a defective CPU or it was just never meant to deliver this many mAs.

Power Strip shouldn't matter.

Excuse my poor typing/brain f**t, I meant PSU, NOT CPU but my remaining brain cell was overwhelmed by acronyms!

Though a CPU could easily do it.

OK, but back to square one, Monitors not waking or connecting after Sleep is generally the Monitor or Software.

But wondering if you tried it with just the 32"er?

It could be a different type of power problem. I suggest you power off, then remove and restore the aux power cords that are connected to all those fancy internal modules.

No sure what you mean, but these modules don't have aux power cords. They all draw power directly from PCIe slots.
