WOW, that was fast, thank you! I did as suggested yet to no avail. I've tried several passwords, appleId password, pass-code for unlocking iphone, all to no avail. Will there be no resolution to my situation ?
Apparently, the backup is encrypted.
If you have a corporate Exchange account set up on your phone, the administrators can enforce policies, including encrypted backups.
Try your Exchange password.
Nope. If you can't remember the password for the encrypted backup, then you can't restore the data in that backup.
