After subscribing to apply tv. I discovered that the app isn't available on my smart TV. Nor can I play it via their Web page on my android devices. Why is this?

maybe it's a work in progress, maybe it's technical limitations

I understand they might have issues such as licensing & technical with smart tvs and apps for all devices.
I just don't understand why I can watch via the Web on my android devices. I can use via the Web on my Linux software pc but that limits me to one device and one room.
maybe it rely on a plugin available on only on computer browsers and not mobile browsers, it's often why banks and the like develop apps on mobile devices rather than rely on their website being accessed on the mobile devices like they would on a computer
