Pro Video Formats - MacOs Catalina

Am I right in thinking Apple have not yet released Pro Video Formats for Catalina?

I'm trying to import an MXF file from DaVinci Resolve into FCPX 10.4.8 and FCP is telling me the file is not supported.

Does FCP X Trial come with HVEC export (including 10bit) Hi, I need to export in HVEC, using the trial version, running Catalina, have the current Pro video formats installed, however no destination appears for Apple devices 4K HVEC or where the export for Master File is selected the Video Codec selection does not include HVEC either, as H264 appears with no 10bit option, where only the other 422s etc that appear allow the WG HDR output (Rec.2020 HLG). The link for the FCP X trial doesn't seem to advise that it doesn't. Cheers

.MOV videos will not open on QuickTime or iMovie Hi, I already have Catalina upgrade and my .MOV video files will not open in QuickTime or iMovie. How can I convert these files and what is the appropriate file format I should covert to? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Thanks for the reply dialabrain, but I've been down that route and in the System Report I expected to see Pro Video Formats listed under Software/Installations, but it's not there.

You're welcome. You may have to contact Apple Support. I haven't found any info one way or the other as far as Catalina goes. I don't have FCPX installed so I can't check.
