You can type almost anything into google and get “some” hits for it (flat earth, fake mood landings, Elvis is alive, etc). But a google hit of a reported issue with electronics tells you nothing at all about how prevalent it is since it is a sample of those who had the issue and posted about, not a sample of those who did not have the issue and never posted about not having it.
There have been people reporting systematic and widespread issues with every device Apple has every made since the internet first went live (and the same for every Dell device, Sony device, Samsung device, etc, etc, etc). Almost none of them indicate anything more than some people had some issues with some devices. When you make and sell millions of units of a device and sell it world wide, sure, some units and some users will have some issue(s). Most will not.
And when there is a systematic issue or problem, the tech news sites will be all over it, with supporting evidence that it is in fact, wide spread or systematic or serious (like Samsung Galaxy Note 7 batteries spontaneously combustin, which was indeed due to a battery design flaw).
