Ipad Pro 10.5 refurbished

Hi guys, i want to buy an Ipad pro 10.5 refurbished by Apple but i have seen that almost every of them has the bright spot issue so i was wondering if it can be an issue for me in the future if i buy it ? And if yes will Apple recognize this issue one day ? How can they still sell them ? And do you advise me to buy an Apple Care + ? Thanks for your responses.

Since it will be your device, you will need to make the decision. You should not rely 100% on online users' opinions. Having said that, here is my opinion: I have a refurb 2018 10.5 iPad pro and there is no bright anything problem with it. And, I always buy Applecare to be on the safe side.

Yeah sure, actually i'm just worried about buying an Ipad who is known for having an issue no resolved, i just wanted to know if it's a good idea or not and if Apple is aware of this issue. Because if i buy this Ipad and one month after the warranty the issue come, it will **** me off to pay 500 more only for a screen repair. You will say "if you are worried don't buy it" but it's the only one who have everything i want for a "decent" price...

My 2017 10.5” has no issues of any kind and never has. Two others I know with the same model also have been fine. So you’re going to have to explain what this supposedly wide-spread or universal “known” issue is, as it certainly is not known to all 10.5” owners and Apple has no extended service program for any issue with the 10.5” iPad Pro.

Well if you type "bright spot issue ipad pro 10.5" on google you will see, but yeah they said only some have and only those who had this issue are talking about it so it's maybe only a minority. I'm maybe too focused on it, anyway, thanks for your response, i will surely buy it, only thing to know is if i buy AppleCare or not... The fact is that i just want to be sure of what i'm buying, the money is consequent and i don't want to go replace it every 5 months...

You can type almost anything into google and get “some” hits for it (flat earth, fake mood landings, Elvis is alive, etc). But a google hit of a reported issue with electronics tells you nothing at all about how prevalent it is since it is a sample of those who had the issue and posted about, not a sample of those who did not have the issue and never posted about not having it.

There have been people reporting systematic and widespread issues with every device Apple has every made since the internet first went live (and the same for every Dell device, Sony device, Samsung device, etc, etc, etc). Almost none of them indicate anything more than some people had some issues with some devices. When you make and sell millions of units of a device and sell it world wide, sure, some units and some users will have some issue(s). Most will not.

And when there is a systematic issue or problem, the tech news sites will be all over it, with supporting evidence that it is in fact, wide spread or systematic or serious (like Samsung Galaxy Note 7 batteries spontaneously combustin, which was indeed due to a battery design flaw).

I don’t want to argue with you, you seems not very open, all I wanted to know if it is a good idea to buy it knowing that there is a high chance of getting this issue. After my researches I have seen pretty much people having this issue so I’m a bit worried of paying something pro that will have in after one year and out of my warranty of course, this issue and I will need to pay 500 more to solve it... But thanks for your lesson of how fake can be google... at least I know that the earth is not flat even if google say it.

Again, if you are really this worried about getting this “white spotting” screen defect ( which IS NOT a commonplace occurance with the 2017, 10.5 inch screen iPad Pro, nor is the LCD screen baclkight delamnating issue a commonplace issue with these 10.5 inch screen iPad Pro models, either ), then don't purchase this iPad Pro model.

It is really that simple.

Look at the new 10.5 inch screen iPad Air 3 or the much cheaper 10.2 inch screen iPad 7th gen, instead.
