Refurbishing generally means to repair and re-manufacture for sale. Companies, like Apple, do this to their own products to re-sell them at a discount. 3rd parties can do his, to make money off of a device they purchased used, and want to resell for profit.
Do you perhaps mean you want to have it serviced, to fix any issues?
I have been on the phone with Apple support since I bought the computer. All representatives tell me there is a problem with my computer and no one has been able to help me fix it.

No instead of purchasing a refurbished computer, I would like to have mine refurbished. I need general repairs. The OS is slow and it can be updated.
You don't need to "refurbish" your computer. You need to troubleshoot your problem(s).
Or, run Etrecheck from the app store and use the the little text box at the bottom of the message writing box to post the report. Maybe we can make some suggestions of things you can do yourself.
