Can't search within Comments in Numbers on MacBook but Numbers User Guide says I can

This is from the Numbers User Guide that comes up at the top of my Google Search. (Who knows how old it is? Nobody dates web pages.)

>Find and replace text in Numbers on Mac

You can search for specific words, phrases, numbers and characters, and automatically replace search results with new content that you specify. All visible text in tables, text boxes, shapes and comments on all sheets is included in the search<

I just updated my MacBook's OS (to Catalina) so I could install and run the latest version (as far as I can tell) of Numbers [version 6.2.1(6529)]

The Find and Replace function will not find text strings (i.e. words) that I know are in the sheet/table.

Can anyone shed any light on what's going on? Maybe the user guide is inaccurate.

Thanks

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.15

Hi rprescot,

I think that Google has found a very old Numbers User Guide, possibly referring to Numbers '09 (Numbers version 4.x).

Newer versions of Numbers do not allow searching in Comments.

Ian.
