My iPhone X will not backup

My iPhone X has not backed up for 4 weeks and I’m not receiving any App updates

I’ve got plenty of storage left - have used 33.8 of 62 Gb.

Ive tried to manually back up but it freezes. I now can’t use any apps that need updating

In order, try these steps.

  1. Turn off iCloud backups
  2. Force close the settings app
  3. Force restart your phone. Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
  4. Turn iCloud backups on again and try to backup again.

If you weren’t able to turn off iCloud backups, because sometimes that will hang if you are having problems backing up, just force close the settings app and force restart your phone.

It doesn’t appear to be an iCloud storage problem. I have 50Gb plan and have used 10.6. The only message I have got is that the back up has failed. When I go in to check the Back up size for my iPhone I can see the last Back up date and size (703.7mb) but there “Next back up size” keeps scrolling. I gave deleted some of the apps I don’t use from the back up but it doesn’t make any difference
