Heating up Iphone 11 pro max

Why is my iphone 11 pro max heating up while in cellular data? What i mean is the heat is not normal upon updating iOS. And They said iOS 12 is not like this. I already lessen all the cellular data activities. But it doesnt work. Hope apple could solve this kind of issue or bug.
