Why is it impossible to select text and change its fontsize in Notes on my iPhone?

I need to be able to select a string of text and change its font size in a Note on my iPhone and simply cannot do it!! This is basic functionality. Am I missing something? In one of my notes I created a table, and in that table there is a cell that has a smaller font!! I didn’t do it!! I’m not sure how it happened!! And most importantly, I can’t reproduce it!! What is going on in Notes??!

don't think it was meant to be that much of a word processor

I would use pages

or another program

or suggest apple add the feature using their feedback channel

Thank you! Thought I was going nuts there for a sec! This is good advice, but I’m still perplexed over why that one Note seems to have two different sized fonts in it! If it is possible for that to happen, I feel strongly that the functionality should be exposed to the user. ☹️ Thank you for your excellent and speedy response, though. ☺️
