External disk unmount itself
I have and external 8 GB Lacie disc that unmount itself during the day. It is connected to the back of my Mac and has an external power cord that is connected directly into the wall
I am at a loss

FWIW, some drive brands seem to do that. I assume it has something to do with the firmware. I had a lot of eject problems with WD drives in High Sierra, not as much in Mojave, so far none in Catalina. Same drives.

In Sys Prefs Energy Saver, is put Disks to Sleep when possible checked?
Has it always done this?
Can Disk Utility Mount it?
It has done this for some time and yes I can mount it using the disk utility
Yes it was checked but I unchecked it to see if that helps
