How do you change the name of an Apple device?

I set up a new iPhone. Somehow, it has been named the same as my old/current device. Example: old device is named iPhone7. New device is an iPhone 11, so I want my new device to be named iPhone11. How do I change the name of the new device? Note: I have not yet removed the old device from my Apple ID
