Encrypting Time Machine drive

Is this possible? When I started Time Machine I get a message that says I'm backing up an encrypted drive to a non-encrypted drive. There's an option for settings, but I don't see any setting to encrypt the backup on the Time Machine drive. Is this possible?

Thanks very much.
