Help please! iPhone 6s stuck on software update!

Hi,

does anyone one know what to do when your iPhone 6s does a software update overnight and now it’s stuck on the update screen with the apple logo and progress bar? The progress bar moves and then doesn’t finish turns off and then restarts the update, it’s just a continuous loop. I have tried to force a reset by holding the home button and on/off button, it turns off but just stars the update again!

please help, thanks in advance!!!!!

If that happens even when you hold in both the power and the home buttons you will probably need to have it serviced.

If you can't get it into recovery mode there is not much you can do from home.

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support

If that does not work:

Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

Were you able to get it into recovery mode? The mode that has a charging cable and a computer shown on the iPhone?

You need to do a force restart while connected to power

iPad with Home button, iPhone 6s or earlier, and iPod touch (6th generation) or earlier: Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery mode screen.

Hi, thanks for your reply, no I couldn’t get into recovery mode I’ve tried to force a restart while connected to the charger and also when connected to the Mac, if I hold the buttons for a force restart it turns off and then back on but starts the update all over again.

Thanks for your reply, I’ve tried a hard reset and tried connecting to my Mac but it doesn’t recognise it once plugged in.
