How to correct Shazam?

I often use Shazam to identify some bit of info my music tracks may be missing. Occasionally Shazam will misidentify a track, but I'm unable to find a way to send a correction. Any ideas?

Shazam wrong song feedback… Is there anyone else out there in the AppleSphere who also loves Apple Music and really appreciates having Shazam to (hopefully) identify a song so they can add it to their collection? As much as I appreciate having Shazam available on my iPhone & Apple Watch S7 45mm Cellular to hopefully identify a song that I really like having the ability to report a search result as a “wrong song” but it seems like a job only half done… Why doesn’t Apple also give us the opportunity to say “yaay way to go Shazam thanks to you I’ve now got a song I really like in my collection!”? Maybe not using as many words obviously but at least it could be something like “you got it right”. Please consider adding that small but very useful option in a Shazam update one day soon Apple. Ur thoughts on this subject please guys, negative or positive I’ll enjoy reading them all!)

Is there somewhere to report songs misidentified by Shazam? I tried Shazaming the opening credit music for the FX series Mrs. America. Shazam sometimes indicates that it cannot identify the song (the phone mic is held near the TV speakers and there is no significant competing ambient noise in the room). Sometimes it misidentifies the song as some more modern-ish ambient music (the opening credit music is decidedly electronic disco from the early 70s). I have since learned that the song is "A Fifth of Beethoven" by Walter Murphy. Is there somewhere this misidentification can be reported? In case anyone is tempted to respond that Shazam isn't an Apple product (as has been suggested on another Shazam question I've seen), Shazam was acquired by Apple in Sept. 2018 and a "Get help with Shazam" link in the app opens up a support.apple.com page for Shazam. https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2018/09/apple-acquires-shazam-offering-more-ways-to-discover-and-enjoy-music/

Rex,

Shazam normally gets its input from the song's owner or distributor (as does the iTunes Store). You could submit a correction through the same channel, although I somehow doubt they are well set up to deal with such requests. See information here:
