I can hear my pulse sometimes if my heart rate goes up. Usually just moving the bottom of the AirPod a bit away from my neck stops that. A little unnerving.
But... that doesn't sound like your issue. Please try the below tip and if it persists, I think you might have a bad set and will need to talk to Apple about it and they will be happy to discuss your replacement options.
Try a full re-pair, reset, and try again.
Start with Unpairing/"Forgetting" the Device:
Settings > Bluetooth > Airpods > Forget this device. Confirm it.
Put both Airpods in their case, charge them via Lightning for a few minutes (or preferably until the case is 100%). Unplug them. Open the case and hold the button on the back of the case for 15+ seconds or until the light flashes white. Hold them near your iPhone and see if the pairing screen comes up and pair them. If not, repeat until it does. But if you can't see the screen pop up, then manually pair within Bluetooth.
If it doesn't work, open a case with Apple Support here: https://support.apple.com/airpods
Also please let me know the Firmware Version if it doesn't work:
Settings > General > About > AirPods > Firmware Version
2C54 was... (I can't say it here as mods may remove it -- Google it please)... I'll just say that 2B588 (the one before it) is now considered "up to date"...
I suggest you open a case with Apple Support here: https://support.apple.com/airpods
Repair/Service request: https://support.apple.com/airpods/repair/service
Second link might be faster. Cheers
Setup Genius appointment. They replaced the right earbud under limited warranty. No more issues!
Having the same issue, though not just with chewing, etc. It seems if active noise canceling is on and there's any sort of sound it's trying to cancel out, it makes clicking noises (for me it's in the right Airpod).
I've paired and re-paired, tried different ear tips, etc. This just started to happen within the past week. It's maddening enough that I don't want to use them anymore with it happening, or I have to turn off the noise canceling, which isn't great -- I paid for that feature.
Firmware: 2C54
No trouble at all. Replaced it for free within minutes but, again, I have the limited warranty. A new replacement out of warranty is about $86USD I believe.
I am having the same issue. It is happening with only the right AirPod. When there is bass, there is a static crackling that keeps happening. It also happens when no music is playing and they are just sitting in my ears.
What is happening?
Did they give you trouble? Or did it take a long time to get a replacement?
Oh ok, I have AppleCare so I should be good.
Thanks for your help!
