I can't get SMS forwarding to work from my MacBook Pro. The iPhone is set for text message forwarding with the device.
Any solutions out there?
BTW, this might have started concurrent with changing my ATT calling plan, and at about the same time WiFi calling stopped working, too.

Since you mention that you have received SMS on the MBP, but cannot send, helps to identify the issue, but it seems that anything we have tried won't work.
Did you try removing Text Message Forwarding on the iPhone for the Mac? Turn off the Mac, power cycle the iPhone, turn the Mac back on, then try selecting the Mac again in Text Message Forwarding? Not sure if you tried that sequence.
Uncheck "Enable This Account" in both Messages and FaceTime, turn off your Mac (not a restart) turn Mac back on then reenable both accounts.
I think you should call ATT SMS might not be included in your plan or they omitted to enable it.
Do you have "Time Zone & System Customization" checked in System Preferences...Location Services...Privacy...System Services...Details
Thanks for the suggestion, but that's not the problem. SMS works fine from my phone. SMS messages just don't get forwarded from my Mac. In fact, I receive SMS messages on my Mac--I just can't send them. Super annoying.
I just gave it a try. Still not working.
I had some high hopes that the problem would be solved when I went to the AT&T store and replaced the SIM. WiFi calling wasn't working either, and after a long (very long) session with AT&T, we determined that it must be the SIM. WiFi calling now works, but SMS forwarding is still non-functional.

One more bit of behavioral oddness for the problem:
I'm seeing the SMS messages sent from my iPhone on the Mac, even though I can't send them from my Mac.
Really weird.
