Language of Apple TV content

Living in Switzerland, we have changed Apple ID to Switzerland for apps, payment etc. However, content in on Apple TV is only French or German. That's not helpful when one half of the couple does not speak the local languages very well! How to access English content?

Most American movies in the Swiss iTunes Store will have English as primary audio language.

Swiss/French/German content in the Swiss iTunes Store may not have English audio or subtitles available. That is up to the studios and content providers for that region.

Content from other providers (e.g. Salt TV) may have language support as they see fit. Apple doesn’t regulate that.

In the US, French or German movies are usually available with all kinds of subtitles. Here, usually not in English. Likewise, other international movies, and you even find movies where there is one version with German subtitles and if you want to try French subtitles, you have to rent or buy another version.

While technically true that it may be up to the content provider what they offer, I would like Apple to know that there are people who would like to rent/buy movies through Apple but cannot, because of missing subtitles.
