Invalid card - security code error

Hi

i have used this card with no issue for over 6 months. I thought I would get with the apple program and start using the ‘wallet’ on the phone to make purchases at shops.

When trying to set up my card in wallet I keep getting the invalid card error. I have edited my card details as per previous threads on the apple community and even deleted card and restarted the process...still no success.

my sister is with the same bank as I and had no problems setting wallet up so I don’t think it’s a banking issue.

any ideas?

  • If you are getting a message to contact the card issuer, call the bank or credit card company who issued you the card to make sure there are no restrictions on the card.
  • If you are getting a message that Apple Pay services are unavailable at this time, sign out of your Apple ID and back in.
  1. Check your Apple ID region to make sure it is correct (https://appleid.apple.com/)
  2. Check the region on your device to ensure it is correct (Settings>general>language & region - set to your region)
  3. A passcode is required to use the Wallet app.
  4. You need to be in a region that supports Apple Pay - Countries and regions that support Apple Pay - Apple Support
