iCloud Windows app doesn't download all photos

Hi guys,

I have a problem with iCloud Windows PC application. I set my iPhone XS to upload all photos to iCloud.

When I login to https://www.icloud.com/photos/ I can see apparently all my pictures. After installing the Windows iCloud app i selected to Download all photos. Then I kept my Windows PC running for 7 days - it took that long to download ~100GBs of photos I have in iCloud. I had to do it as this 1500$ smartphone doesn't allow you to simply copy-paste photos via USB cable ;)

Finally, the app says the download is finished. However, in my "2019" iCloud folder on Windows PC I'm missing some photos which I can successfully see on https://www.icloud.com/photos/. How is it possible and how can I make sure that ALL my photos stored in the iCloud are downloaded to my Windows PC?

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities! I understand that your PC is missing some of those photos that you see on the iCloud Photos website; let's see if we can figure this out together.

thanks for your answer.

I've performed all steps from your first link, but it still doesn't work.

Copying files via USB doesn't work. I've already opened two forums threads on this topic, but haven't received any help:

It's been 2 MONTHS and I can't get my iPhone photos and videos on my Windows PC... My last trial was to download all of them manually from iCloud web and I managed, but the videos are compressed in a very bad quality then...

Great job with providing extra details on what you've tired so far. I think that it might be worth your while to try the second link that was suggested as well. Here it is again to avoid any confusion.

Hi,

I've tried the instructions from the link you provided. It still doesn't work - the USB downloading is still interrupted randomly even using the Photos App on Windows 10.
