I use a MBP 15 TB late 2016.
I noticed that Fn+Backspace does not act as a delete key, as described but as a normal backspace. ON an external apple keyboard it works as described. Is there a setting for it or is my system broken? It happens in all applications.

thanks for the hint. It works with an external keyboard and on another notebook with the same settings. I had a genius bar appointment yesterday and they sent it in for fixing.

If you go to System Preferences > Keyboard is "Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" enabled on your Mac? If so, let's disable this settings and test to see if this behavior continues.
