Upgrade to Catalina

My mid-2014 Macbook Pro is compatible and I have sufficient memory and storage to upgrade to Catalina, but I'm getting a message that says "server error." What does that mean?

It's hard to say what stopps it,

You might try to install via recovery mode instead remember to backup important files first:

Option-⌘-R

Upgrade to the latest macOS that is compatible with your Mac.
