Cannot upgrade to Catalina

Just tried to upgrade to Catalina and got this message: A server with the specified hostname could not be found. Does this mean there is an Apple problem, or do I have a problem?

iMac 27" 5K, macOS 10.14

Problem solved. I did try going through the App Store, but this didn't work. Did an Apple support chat and they said to go through Recovery (option-command-R). That worked and now I'm back in business with Catalina.
