Sign in problem from Safari but not Chrome on JCrew only

I can't sign into my JCrew account from Safari, but have no problem with Chrome. On Safari, it tells me that my email address is incorrect/not recognized. Same error message comes up when I try to reset my password. When I try to re-register with the same email, it says that it is already registered. I have no problem signing into any other accounts on Safari. I have cleared cookies, browsing history, etc and rebooted already.

MacBook Pro 15”, macOS 10.14
