iPad search

Does anyone know why the search my iPad facility has disappeared as a feature in the latest iPad models. You used to be able to swipe right from the left hand side of the screen (while in landscape mode) and the top of the list was a search field that allowed you to search for apps, contacts etc

Swipe down from the middle point of any home screen. Don’t swipe from the left.
