Catalina upgrade

Can I upgrade to Catalina? From what I am reading, I don't believe I can, just want to make sure. Right now I'm running High Sierra and I believe that is my ceiling.

macbook pro 15in Mid 2010

2.53Ghz Intel Core i5

Then you can upgrade to High Sierra:

Get macOS High Sierra

High Sierra is as far as Apple supports that Mac, because its graphics chip is not considered clever enough to have support for Metal.

No, the furthest you can upgrade is High Sierra.
