I get a lot of spam from Russia so have created a rule to delete any email with .ru in the email address. That will send them to the Trash bin immediately. It's easy to immediately delete them using this menu option:

Are you trying to block spammers with this? Because that won’t work. The spammers change addresses and message formats for each spam campaign. Messages change run-to-run. If it were trivial to block spam, we won’t have this mess. Use the Apple junk mail filtering, or (as I do) SpamSieve, as these tools use statistics to differentiate the particular mail you get, and the spam you get.
How are you blocking the senders?
What system are you running?
What model Mac is this question about?
My Mac laptop is about five years old, not sure of the model, but it has the latest updates. I am right-clicking on the sender name and using "Block Contact" on the dropdown menu.
Have you checked the full headers to verify they are from the same sender? From addresses can be easily spoofed.
