How can I check for any malware/virus ?

Essentially, you can’t - but this shouldn’t be a cause for concern.
Providing that you have not attempted to jailbreak your device - or have bypassed protections by side-loading third-Apps (if you don’t know what this is, then don’t worry about it), then it is highly unlikely that your device will have been infected with a virus or other malware.
The “closed” Apple iOS ecosystem and App Store are designed to protect your device from infected Apps. Your device generally cannot be infected/modified by infected code. You should however take care to avoid “phishing” or other types of attack that is designed to lure you into giving-away personal or other sensitive data.
