Old and new iMac linked - how do I delete files from old iMac?

I used Migration Assistant to move everything from my old iMac to my new iMac. Now I want to delete files from old iMac, but when I try deleting something, it also deletes it from my new iMac. Any help would be appreciated.

iMac with Retina 5K display, macOS 10.14
