Migration assistant

If I already used Migration assistant to get files off my old computer to put on my new mac, and then use migration assistant again to get files off a different computer onto my new mac (which I have been using), will any of my current files, preferences, photos, etc. be wiped or changed? Thank you!

despite the name of the main article "MOVE Content to a new Mac", no move operation is performed.


Migration Assistant performs a COPY, and does not modify anything on the source device(s).
