I can’t seem to locate my Apple TV app on my home screen. Where could it be? It opens when I search for it on the search page. But I can’t see the app icon. When I try to download the app from App Store, it just has the “open” button near it. So it means it’s downloaded, right? But I can’t find the icon anywhere on my home screen.

Yes it’s there and likely slid into a folder by mistake. Look in those.
There’s one option in settings to reset home screen layout. This will shuffle all the apps around and should put it back on your home screen.
