cannot read cd rom + cannot install java SE 6 legacy

In order to read a cdrom, I need to download an app called CambridgeApplication. In order to do so, I need to install Java SE 6 legacy. But when I try to install Java SE 6 legacy a warning message says it's not possible because more recent a Java version has already been installed on my Mac.

How can I install Jave SE 6 legacy? Alternatively, how can I read cd rom?
