All of my bookmarks and reading list on my imac have disappeared. They are still on my other devices. Why did they disappear and how can I get them back on my iMac? I've tried importing them, troubleshooting, and copious reading, but still to no avail.

You have not told us which browser you use, which iMac you own (they have been in production over 20 years) or the version of Mac OS installed. However to get you started on troublehooting, please restart in Safe Mode per the directions in the Safe Mode Reset instructions
