Tv App Won't Play Purchased Content - HDCP

After upgrading my iMac (regretfully in hindsight...) I have recently tried to play a tv show on the tv app. Every purchased tv show in my library will not play as it states it is incompatible with HDCP something something something. Everything on my iMac is up to date, he only thing that has changed is that I am stuck with the TV App instead of the old iTunes. These shows played on iTunes fine.

What do i need to do?

Do you have a Time Machine backup to Restore to/from?

I'm hoping that this is not the only option. Surely there is an alternative - this is content I have purchased legitimately, and upgraded to OS Catalina on the advice of Apple. It is no different to if the change from iTunes to the Music App suddenly nullified all of the music I had purchased - there would be an uproar.
