I have a iPhone 6s. Whenever I click on a place map picture (when researching a city or town) my phone goes immediately to my location only! Any idea’s why please.

Hi Janev58,

It sounds like you are having trouble with your iPhone and I want to help.

If you open Maps, it might be normal for your device to display your current location.

Are you able to follow the steps to find and view locations as seen here:

Find places in Maps on iPhone - Apple Support

Use Maps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Let me know if you're able to use Maps this way.

If that's not doing what you expect, tell me what you're tapping exactly, and I'll try to advise you from there.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.
