Macbook Pro Mid-2014 retina 13" - Wifi connected, internet connected but, no loading.

I have this problem for quite a while but, I notice that it as started to get worst. And mostly after extensive use of internet.

I can detect my router and my office wifi signal without problem, I can connect to them easily too. But when it is time to search on internet, notting is loading. I've tried Safary, Chrome and Firefox.

My whole internet setup as be replaced 2 times by my ISP last month because I thought "they" were the problem. But after a couple of test and all, I am starting to think that my computer might be the problem.

When I am close to my router, I have no problem searching the Web. But, if I go in the room next to where is my router, it will stop working after a couple of hours. My computer still detect at full bar the wifi signal. But, when I do a wifi-analysis from the router, it barely detect the signal that my computer is sending to it.

Is it possible that my computer wifi-card is starting to die slowly on me? Or they could be something else?

And how can I be sure that my wifi card is dying if it is the case?

Thanks in advance.

Hi there, vinc.beaulieu.

I see that you're having a problem accessing the internet using your 2014 MacBook Pro. Your Mac is connected to Wi-Fi you can access the internet without any problem. But after a time, pages stop loading no matter what browser you use. I'm glad to help with this.

You are definitely not getting a good signal with it at -70db. There can also be "dead" spots at certain locations around the router (including above/below) as well and there could be metal wires, conduit, or pipes in the floor as well. Wood can still interfere with certain frequencies as well. Check the frequency and protocol being used at the time of the issue. Can you force the router to use the 2.4GHz channel by disabling the 5GHz channel?

What signal strength do you get when you are in the same room as the router?

What is the WiFi signal strength of another laptop at the same location?

Have you tried rebooting the router and then rebooting the computer once the router has rebooted? Also check the signal strength while booted into Safe Mode.

Option-click the WiFi icon to see the WiFi signal (RSSi) and noise levels as well as other connection information. The signal should be somewhere between -35db to -60db with the noise level around -90db.

What obstructions are between the laptop and your router? Metal objects will completely block the signal while other types of material can weaken the signal. Do you have anything in the other room that could be causing interference with the WiFi such as any appliances, etc. ?
