Security and scams

I keep getting a call different 800 numbers saying that they are with Apple fraud and someone is trying to log into my account if I want to talk to some one about it press 1. When I do they hang up on me

this is my first apple product does this sound above board or is it a scam?

Possible scam I keep getting calls from 800-439-**** stating my account has been hacked and to not use any financial services until I talk to Apple Support . When you select 1 you get a foreign speaking person which seems like a scam. Is this a scam. [Edited by Moderator]

Scam. Apple will never call you unless you called them and asked for a call back.
