Apps won't load

Greetings,

I have an iPad with Garage Band on it. It has worked fine but recently when I was off line I discovered it needed to be downloaded. I've had this problem with song files but not the app itself. Just wondering what causes it and what I need to do. TIA

Hello,

What is occurring is you have the “Offload apps” setting enabled. This is a way for iPad’s system software to offload applications so you can maximize disk space. Then when you need to use the application again, iPad will re-download it from iCloud.

Settings > iTunes & App Store > Offload Unused Apps

the garageband app has never needed downloading from iCloud prior to now. But now it does when i turn the iPad on as i see the icloud icon with the download arrow next to the app icon. when i'm away from internet, i can't use it. Now the app won't open after it has supposedly finished downloading. i have been getting a mssg that my iCloud storage is full so I'm wondering if that is interfering.
