External SATA drive dock not mounting disk

External HDD Dock problems

I’ve been using two Sabrent external docks for SATA drives without enclosures. A Sabrent single-dock station - EC-DFLT, and a Sabrent toaster - EC-HDD2. I have been able to use the toaster as both a copy station (doesn’t need to be connected to a computer, you can just press a button and HDD 1 will copy itself to HDD 2) and as a drive dock with two different drives mounted and using different data through the same USB connector.

After upgrading to 10.15 (.1 and .2) I have had problems getting drives mounted to my Mac Pro using my toaster (EC-HDD2). If i place a drive in the HDD 1 slot and connect to my Mac Pro, I get a message from OS saying the drive is unreadable and I need to initialize or eject the drive. If i put the same drive in my single dock station (EC-DFLT) it will mount fine and I can use as intended.

I also sometimes get an error message saying: could not mount (com.apple.diskmanagement.disenter error 0.) or - com.apple.diskmanagement.disenter error -119930868.

If I take these two external docks to another machine running OS 10.14.6, I have no issues and everything runs fine.

I have read of other users having problems mounting external drives after upgrading to 10.15.x but not heard about SATA drive enclosure difficulty, specifically.

Does anyone else have the same issue? Is there something in the DiskManagement.disenter error that can clue anyone in to the possible cause or solution to this issue?
