Too long.
Probably around 6-7 hours, or so.
iPads will charge faster to 80% if you turn OFF WiFi and Bluetooth when the iPad is not being used and just charging.
Either purchase new 12W power adapter ( charging time will go down to about 4-5 hours with my above advice ) or purchase the 18 W USB-C power adapter and Lightning to USB-C cable from Apple.
Charging with those should bring the charge time to anywhere from 3-4 hours using my advice about turning OFF WiFi and Bluetooth while charging and the iPad is not in use.
Given that your iPad is a new/current model - that supports PD Fast Charging - if considering purchase of an upgraded Charger, you would be best advised to buy the 18W Apple Charger appropriate to your region. This will provide a useful upgrade over that supplied and will minimise your charging time - at relatively low cost.

Hi Michael thanks for ur reply, yesterday I received my new iPad air 3 and I got the 10w charger along with it
And when I asked the support team they are saying that u will get the 10 w charger only in the box and the 12 w charger should be bought separately
But I saw that the many reviewers in YouTube got the 12 w charger in the box itself. Plz help me to sort out this problem
Not sure what happened there.
I just purchased a new 2019, 7th gen iPad for my wife this past Monday and it came with the 12W power/charging block, also.
i am just a volunteer user here.
I do not work for Apple.
Bring the 10W power/charge block back to your nearest, “local” Apple Store and plead your case with store employees and see if they will give you a free exchange for the 12W power/charging adapter.
If not, I would just purchase the much faster charging 18W USB-C power/charge block and the Apple Lightning to USB-C cable and be done.
Best of Luck to You!
Yes - your iPad Air3 is the current model, fully compatible with the Apple 18W Charger.

As the 18W Charger has a USB-C connector, you will also require a USB-C to Lightning Cable.

The cable that comes with your iPad Air 3 is a Lightning to USB 1.0/2.0 cable.
The 18W power/charge block uses a USB-C connection for charging.
The USB-C port is a different shape/configuration.
If you purchase this 18W power charge block, you will need to, also, purchase an Apple Lightning to USB-C cable to connect to that 18W power/charge block.
You need the cable IF you plan on purchasing the 18W USB-C power block/adapter!
The Lightning end of the cable plugs into the iPad.
The USB-C end plugs into the 18W power block.

Thanks Michael but could u tell me the cable which was given to me with 10 w adapter support 18w charger ?? And why u r asking me to buy me the lightning to USB c cable( not able to understand bcz iPad air 3 has the lightning port not the USB c port)
But does the iPad air3 is compatable to 18w charger
Do u mean that u want me to buy a USB c to lightning connector bcz the ultimate connector which is to be Connected to iPad is to be the lightning connector
Thank u
