What do the dots mean after a note has been shared to someone?

Curious as to what the dots mean when a note has been shared with someone. I haven't found any documentation. I've seen Red, and Yellow. Not explanation as to what they mean though.

A colored dot means that there has been a new update to that shared note. Each dot represents a specific person who is allowed to make edits to the shared note. So, if shared a note and made a change then you may see a yellow dot representing me and if someone else made an edit then you will see a red dot and so on.

In short, the dot(s) mean that there has been an edit to the shared note.
