Y’all,
I’m helping my dad navigate on his iPhone....his phone was set up with an iCloud email address, NOT his gmail (he has no problems with gmail on his PC).
When I go to add his gmail on the iPhone, it says it’s an invalid email & to choose another email.
Again, he has no issues with his gmail account and logs in regularly on his PC.
Any suggestions??

You might also try downloading the Gmail app from the App Store and logging into the Gmail account that way.

How are you trying to add it? Are you going to Settings>Passwords & Accounts>Add Account?
Or, are you trying to change the email he uses for his Apple ID?
Yes, going through settings>PW & Acct>Add additional email.... that’s not the issue, the response we’re getting is that his email (Gmail acct) is “invalid”.?
