Iphone x freezing issue when using Bluetooth

Hello all,

i have iphone x and I started experiencing a freezing issue when i use Bluetooth to connect to my airpods or any Bluetooth devices such as my car audio systems. This issue shows up after updating OS to 13 version. Simply once I connect my airpods, i loss the audio for couple minutes then i used to solve this problem by dragging the drop menu and switch the connectivity from airpods to iphone speaker or iphone . However, now once i do this trick, my iphone freezes showing the drop down menu with no response by swipe up the menu , also I cannot make or receive calls or perform any actions. Therefore, the only option is forcing the device to restart. This issue happens every day if i want to switch from iphone or iphone speaker to airpods or any other Bluetooth devices.

can you please help me with this issue?

Thanks in advance

iPhone X

Hello mana49,

I understand your iPhone is freezing when you connect it to Bluetooth devices. I can see why this would be a problem you would want to get fixed. I'm happy to help you out.

Is your iPhone automatically connecting to those devices, or are you having to manually connect each time? Also, does the freezing happen as soon as they connect, or does it usually occur only after you try to use an app while connected to a Bluetooth device?

If your iPhone is updated to the most recent version of iOS 13 available, update it and then test out your audio again: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. If your iPhone is already up-to-date, or if updating doesn't resolve the issue, back up you iPhone and restore it t factory settings next.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Before loading your data back onto your iPhone, set it up as new so you can test Bluetooth with nothing on your device. This will help narrow down the issue. Once you've tested it, restore from your backup to get all of your data back: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup. Test it out once more after that.

Take care.
