I am using an iPhone X and a dongle to connect my earphones. My earphones work to watch YouTube etc but if I join an Instagram Call or a discord call, the audio is played out of my speakers instead of my earphones. Please help as I am also experiencing this issue on my iPhone 7. Thanks

I can understand why you’d want to figure out why your calls are not playing through your earphones. I’m happy to lend a hand in finding a resolution.
To start, you mention that you are using a Lightning Adapter. Do you have the ability to test lighting headphones? Use Apple headphones with your iPhone, iPad, and iPod
Does this happen while using the Phone app or just while using third-party apps? If it only happens while using third-party apps, I suggest contacting the app developer: How to contact an app developer
